TONY BORG

Tony was born on the 2nd of September 1965, in Cardiff, Wales. He started to play for Nadur Youngsters in 1982, at 17. The Year after he was chosen to play for the Gozo XI. Apart from Nadur Youngsters, Tony played for Sirens F.C., with whom he won promotion as Champions, Mosta F.C., Gozo F.C. and Gozo XI. He is the player who scored most goals for Nadur Youngsters with 61 goals.

He scored his first goal for Nadur Youngsters on the 13th of February 1983 against Munxar Falcons in the League. His Last goal came in the GFA Cup Final on the 20th November 1994 in the win over Ghajnsielem. He scored in 13 seasons, and in 4 of them (1985-86; 1986-87; 1988-89 and 1990-91 joint with Mario Gauci), he finished Top scorer for Nadur Youngsters. Surely he will remember 1989-90, in which season he scored 12 goals without being able to finish the Club’s Top Scorer.
