Aleksandar Simoncic Signs for Nadur
Champions and present League leaders, Nadur Youngsters continued to strengthen their squad. They managed to sign Serbian Midfielder/Stopper Aleksandar Simoncic. Alex is not new for Nadur, as he has been on their book for the last 4 seasons, scoring 29 goals in the process. He won 2 Gozitan Championships (1 as Coach), the G.F.A. Cup, 3 times the Independence Cup (1 as coach), 2 times the “Jum il-Helsien” Cup and 1 Super Cup with the White Jersey. He was player/coach during the 2004-05 season and Nadur Youngsters coach (due to an injury that kept him out of play all season) during last season. At the end of last season he tried his luck in the USA, but has returned back. He has now signed a 3 year contract for Nadur Youngsters. Born in Belgrade, in January 1977, Alex is a free kick specialist. He started football in the Zemun school of football and has played for F.C. Zemun (Serbia), F.C. Obilic (Serbia), F.C. Panionios (Greece), F.C. Ginde (China) and Nadur Youngsters. We wish him all the best with Nadur Youngsters. Welcome back Alex.
