The idea to gather the Nadur players for a mass and  lunch together provided a brilliant result yesterday as the whites cruised to a 6-2 victory over Sannat coming from a two-goal deficit.

The players met around 9:30 am  and walked to the Nadur cemetry to attend for a mass dedicated for all those members of the club who died.It was the perfect of days for a nice country side walk with the sun shining brilliantly. The players gathered around the tomb of former Nadur player and President Peter Paul Camilleri who died last year. The mass started  at ten o’clock where prayers were offered for those in the Nadur Youngsters club who died, including that recently of Anton Camilleri.

A warm coffee at Rabokk Pizzeria followed. Then the players went to Anthony’s Bar and Restaurant where a nice lunch consisting of a healthy vegetable soup and pasta was served. This helped to create a familiar atmosphere amongst the players who chatted and joked with each other.

This is the kind of atmosphere that the team needed to bounce back from two successive defeats and to keep on with winning habits this season. If one looks at the scoresheet of the game against Sannat he will certainly agree.
