Nadur Youngsters had to settle for another draw on Sunday against Sannat as  a 92nd minute penalty  by De Andrade made sure that the game ends 2-2.The whites came from behind in the  second half  and scored through a long ranged shot by De Souza and a penalty by Cadu.

The game was similar to that against S.K.V.W as Nadur were completely dominated in the first period. Sannat went in front in the 5th minute when John Camilleri concluded a fine move by De Andrade .Nadur were only dangerous on the 25th minute through a long ranged free-kick by Andre De Souza that ended inches of the post.

Nadur were more motivated in the second half and determined to get a good result from the match. However Sannat could have sealed the match just after the break when a shot from outside the area by De Andrade was finger tipped over the bar by Sultana. Sannat were left to pay for this occasion as Nadur equalized on the 55th minute. Andre De Souza produced some fine footwork and rifled a long ranged shot that gave no chance to Sannat’s goalie Paul Galea. Nadur were in the driving seat and pressed up for the victory. The opportunity arrived on the 68th minute from the spot as Anthony Portelli was tripped in the area by Mak Formosa. Cadu made no mistake from the spot kick and made no mistake.

Sannat reacted immediately and were unlucky when a shot by Errol Grima hit the crossbar and Mercieca was in the right place to neutralize the Danger. On the 78th minute Cadu had a shot blocked by Njoku and another attempt few minutes later ended wide. Nadur appeared to keep up for a long awaited victory but were again heart broken this time deep into injury time. Andrade combined well with John Grima , entered the area and produced a low shot that hit the foot of the post. From the following rebound Sabri Rais’s shot was handled by Camilleri as the shot was directed into his face. Clayton Pisani awarded the penalty and red-carded Camilleri. Andrade converted from the spot and left Nadur again frustrated.

The three points would have been detrimental as both Ghajnsielem and Victoria Hotspurs slipped up in their respective matches. Only six matches remain for the end of the season and the whites have a mountain to climb if they want to try to get back in the title race. It does not seem to be an impossible feat for Nadur especially when looking at yesterday’s result between Victoria Hotspurs and Kercem.
