This season was one of the closest seasons in the history of the GFA. In fact it was decided (championship, relegation) in the last 3 games. Nadur Youngsters terminate their season in 3rd place with 25 points, 6 wins, 7 draws and 5 losts. Nadur attack was one of the best in the league, in fact Nadur score 40 goals the same as Victoria Hotspurs and Ghajnsielem but the defence was the 2nd poorest in the league with not less than 34 goals. Nadur won and drawn 3 games in a row and lost 2 games in a row. The biggest win was 6-1 against Kercem Ajax in the first game of the 3rd Round. The biggest loss was against Hotspurs 4-1 and the biggest draw was 2-2 against S.K. Victoria Wanderers. Nadur did not concede goals in 1 game against Xewkija Tigers in the first game of the league. Also, Nadur was kicked out of the GFA Cup by Kercem Ajax (2-3) in Preliminary Round. In the Independence Cup Nadur was eliminated in semi-final by Sannat Lions (2-4), before Nadur eliminate the archrivals Ghajnsielem 3-0 in extra time. Nadur defeated in Freedom Cup final by Victoria Hotspurs (0-2). This season Nadur sign the Brazilian Claudio Antunes with the English Kyle Russell but the latter leaves the club in January transfer market and his place was filled up by another Brazilian Andre De Souza. Nursery Under 13 This category was under the guidance of Fabiano Bassi assisted with Joe Portelli. They won the league after winning 1-0 in last game against Sannat Lions. Their biggest win was 8-1 against Munxar Falcons. They won 12, 2 draws and 2 losts. Under 17 This category was guided by Joe Portelli. They came two times runners-up in both league and knockout. The biggest win was 16-0 against Kercem Ajax. They won 10, 1 draws and 1 loss. The top scorer was Ian Xuereb with 26 goals. Under 21 This category was under the guidance of Anthony Portelli. The league was divided into two groups and the first 2 teams of each group play the semi-final. This category won the league after beating 3-0 Xaghra United in semi-final and SK. Victoria Wanderers 2-1 in final. Nadur won 8, 0 draws and 2 losts. |
