Melita First Division League - Match 3 Victoria Hotspurs - 0 vs Nadur Youngsters FC - 4
Nadur came out very aggressive and produced pressure on Victoria's rearguard from the very beginning and strikers Claudio Antunes and Anthony Portelli both threatened to score an early goal. Nadur's Anthony Portelli also had a goal from a free kick by Brian Meilak that was disallowed for an offside position. The Hotspurs produced a good action on 11 minutes when Dylan Bellotti entered Nadur's territory but goalie Victor Agius saved the danger. Nadur opened the score on 13 minutes when a direct corner kick by Milos Stojanovic surprised Victoria's defense as the ball bounced in the area and ended in goal. On 27 minutes the same Stojanovic was dangerous through a direct free kick that ended just high and one minute after the half hour mark the Youngsters doubled the score. Anthony Portelli released Claudio Antunes and the latter placed in goal with a low drive. The Hotspurs tried to produce a reaction after the restart and in the second minute of play Nadur's goalie Victor Agius was called to save an angled shot by Aleandro Bezzina. The same goalkeeper was well placed two minutes later to neutralize a header by Dylan Bellotti. Nadur replied on 52 minutes. Victoria's rearguard failed to clear the area from a free kick by Brian Meilak, the ball arrived to an unmarked Anthony Portelli who saw his attempt turned in corner by goalie Mark Grima. One minute later Victoria were again dangerous through an angled shot by substitute Jason Pace that was saved in corner by goalie Victor Agius. Nadur increased their lead one minute after the hour mark through a header by Claudio Antunes following a cross by Anthony Portelli. On 83 minutes Nadur's Claudio Antunes went close to register a personal hat-trick when he entered the area with a solo action but incredibly concluded wide with an open goal at his mercy. Nadur sealed the issue with a fourth goal that arrived in the 89th minute through a tap-in by Milos Stojanovic following a fine move by Claudio Antunes.
